Luke Merrill, M.A., LPC

Luke Merrill is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. He holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity International University and a B.A. in Ministerial Studies from Christian Life College.

Before entering the counseling field, Luke served as a Children’s Pastor at Christian Life Church in Mount Prospect, IL. As a fourth-generation minister and lifelong pastor’s kid, Luke has a deep love for Jesus and is passionate about making mental health a normal and ongoing conversation in the local church.

Luke works with children, adolescents, and families to address anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, emotional regulation, and other mental health challenges. His approach is grounded in trust and connection. He believes healing happens when kids feel safe to be themselves and when families are equipped with tools to grow together. Using a mix of play therapy, talk therapy, and cognitive-behavioral strategies, Luke partners with clients to build resilience, strengthen relationships, and promote lasting change.

Luke actively serves as a Deacon in his church and volunteers in the community. He also teaches psychology and counseling courses as a professor at Christian Life College. At home, he enjoys playing board games with his wife and playing the drums.
