Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE in one God, Creator of all things, infinite, perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
WE BELIEVE the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired word of God and to be inerrant in the original writings. We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the complete revelation of God's will for the salvation of all humans and the final authority for all Christian faith and life.
WE BELIEVE that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, is fully God and fully human, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. We believe, according to the Scriptures, that He died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins, was buried, arose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven where at the right hand of God, He is now our High Priest and Advocate.
WE BELIEVE that humankind was created in the image of God, but entered into sin and is, therefore, alienated from a personal relationship with God, and only regeneration by the Holy Spirit, through a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, can bring eternal salvation from sin and restoration of an individual's relationship with God.
WE BELIEVE that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provide the only grounds for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only those who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born of the Holy Spirit, and thus become children of God.
WE BELIEVE the ministry of the Holy Spirit is that of indwelling, regenerating, and renewing the believing sinner, and guiding, enabling, and empowering the believer to glorify Jesus Christ through godly living and service. We believe the Holy Spirit ministers to the whole person, including the physical, emotional, intellectual, social, relational, and spiritual needs of the believer.
WE BELIEVE that the true church is composed of persons who through faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and united together in the body of Christ, of which He is the Head.
WE BELIEVE in the personal and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ and that this belief has a vital influence on the personal life and service of the Christian.
WE BELIEVE in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to eternal blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment.
