Christie Toland, M.A., LCPC

Christie is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois. She received her B.A. in Psychology from Trinity International University. She also holds an M.A. in Mental Health Counseling from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Christie has provided individual, couple, family, and group therapy in private practice, community mental health, and substance abuse settings. Through these experiences, she has been able to walk alongside individuals of different cultures, ages, and backgrounds to help them find meaning and purpose in the challenges they face.

Christie is passionate about connecting with others, and draws from her faith to create a warm, accepting, and grace-filled environment. She believes that counseling is a collaborative process to gain an in-depth understanding of one's own unique needs and strengths, with the opportunity to use these discoveries to grow for the better. Her hope is to empower others to find healing, pursue holistic health (body, mind, and soul), and live well in all aspects of life.

During her free time, Christie enjoys cooking and baking, completing home projects, and spending quality time with her husband and three children.

Specialties: Depression, anxiety, substance abuse/addictions, trauma work, domestic violence, child and adolescent therapy, parenting/family dynamic needs, and multicultural issues.
