Jan Collins, MSW, LSW
Jan is a Licensed Social Worker who has been a professional in social welfare and community practice for more than 15 years. Her warmth and engaging personality gained her the trust of clients in communities, classrooms, and small groups, as well as in one-on-one office settings.
Before joining our staff, Jan worked for many years with Youth for Christ and The Navigators, serving teens and young adults from hard places. She also facilitated life skills and character development groups, taught therapeutic parenting, engaged young children through art and play therapy, and provided aftercare for families impacted by adoption loss. She is passionate about helping people find the source of their pain and connecting them with the best resources for hope and healing.
Jan received her Bachelors Degree in Social Work and continued her studies at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where she completed her Masters in Social Work. She currently lives in a Northwest suburb of Chicago and in her free time enjoys reading, scrapbooking, home decorating, attending her local church, and providing post-adoption workshops for professionals and faith communities. In addition to her work with White Stone, Jan is EAGALA Certified for equine-assisted psychotherapy and is an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department at Trinity International University.
